Transaction/Relationship Manager, GCM/Structured Finance

Overview:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Structured Finance/Corporate Service professional to join a financial institution.  Being part of a non-banking financial institution who are going through growth, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of a portfolio of Structured Finance/Securitisations/SPVs through lifecycle of the deal.  Acting as a Director (Geschäftsführer) on the SPVs, you will ideally have a proven background in entity management and serving as a main point of contact for clients, ensuring the smooth management of the transactions and overall service delivery.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Management of a portfolio of Structured Finance/SPVs/Securitisation transactions both pre and post-close.
  • Review and comment on legal documentation, liaising with internal and external counsel in terms of negotiations/drafting of docs as appropriate.
  • Acting as Geschäftsführer (Director) on mandated SPVs.
  • Monitoring internal systems and operations in relation to clients/accounts to ensure the smooth operation of account set-up, alignment to relevant policies, procedures and guidelines, and mitigation of potential risks.
  • Liaising with external parties to include; legal counsel, financial advisors, service partners in relation to closings.
  • Ongoing liaison with internal deal team to ensure deals are managed in a timely manner, providing exceptional service throughout.
  • Acting as point of contact for client queries, and ongoing relationship maintenance as well as developing new relationships and cross-selling full product suite as appropriate.
  • Attending client meetings and participating in sales activity both by phone and face-to-face.
  • Dealing with both internal and external deal parties/shareholder queries.
  • Ongoing account management to include, cash flow, fee billing and external reporting.
 
Skills/Experience
  • Batchelors Degree and minimum of 3 years’ experience in Structured Finance and/or Corporate Service transaction management environment. 

Or in lieu of degree:

  • Circa 5-7 years’ Transaction Management/Client Service experience within a relevant Structured Finance/Corporate Services role.
  • Language skills required:  Fluent in German and English.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of corporate structures and applicable laws & regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting to include German GAAP would be beneficial.
  • Proven background in reviewing and interpreting relevant portfolio documentation.
