Loan Transaction Manager

Overview:
Excellent opportunity for an individual with strong experience of Loans/Loan Agency related Transaction Management to join a leading international Bank.  The successful candidate will join an established team dedicated to the review and negotiation of transaction documentation related to syndicated loan transactions (including Project and Export Finance and account bank/custody/escrow roles).  This role will entail reviewing documentation related to new transactions and dealing with amendment requests to existing transactions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a team dedicated to the review and negotiation of documentation related to syndicated loan transactions, including Project and Export Finance and certain account bank/custody/escrow roles.
  • Reviewing and negotiating documentation for a portfolio of complex transactions, coordinating/liaising with  external counsel, internal Group Legal and Client Services Teams as appropriate.
  • Reviewing transaction documentation relating to (but not limited to) general syndicated facilities, Islamic financing, real estate financing, leveraged and acquisition financing and other corporate trust products; in each case on behalf of the Facility Agent/Administrative Agent/Intercreditor Agent/Security Agent-Trustee and account bank, custodian and other corporate trust roles.
  • Working closely with Operations and Client Services Teams. 
  • Dealing with amendments to existing transactions as required.
  • Providing prompt responses (ideally within 24 hours) to any request for comments or queries from clients (internal and external) and promoting Issuer Services to internal stakeholder colleagues, as well as external parties.
  • Assisting in developing less experienced team members through training and sharing of knowledge.

 Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working as a Loan Agency Transaction Manager - Essential.
  • Previous experience in Project and Export Finance, either on the origination or agency side beneficial.
  • Experience in managing pre-close transactions.
  • Corporate Trust agency experience beneficial.
  • Understanding of banking operations beneficial.
  • Ability to ensure that the Bank is not exposed to any operational or reputational risks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment and manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong time management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
