Square Mile Connections is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Loan Agency Transaction Manager to join an esteemed Non-Banking Financial Institution based in London. The successful candidate will step into a pivotal role within a growing team, taking on the responsibility of managing a diverse portfolio of non-CRE loans. This role is well-suited for candidates with proven expertise in Fund Finance and Loans/Debt products, and who possess the skills necessary to cultivate and maintain relationships with lenders, borrowers, and various third parties, all while delivering exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the closing of transactions alongside appointed legal counsels, ensuring the Agent's interests are represented effectively.
- Collaborate with legal counsels and senior management to facilitate the closing of new transactions, including a thorough review of LMA standard loan documentation.
- Support internal teams in the setup of borrowing base and covenant calculation models.
- Independently oversee the Interest Payment Date (IPD) and Drawdown cycles on the allocated loan portfolio.
- Collect and analyze borrower deliverables including borrowing base models, compliance certificates, and monthly reports.
- Manage and enhance relationships and communication channels between lenders and borrowers for allocated loans.
- Prepare payment instructions for processing of remittances from secured bank accounts.
- Assist in improving processes and internal controls within the team.
- Provide support to team members with their loan portfolios as needed.
- Engage in business expansion projects and initiatives effectively.
Requirements
- Strong academic background complemented by a successful track record in managing portfolio financing transactions.
- Ability to confidently engage with clients at all levels and present complex information clearly.
- Solid analytical and technical skills with an understanding of complex loan structures and underlying credit risk.
- Organized, methodical, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with an ability to work closely with both the Front Office Team in London and remote Operations Teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving business requirements and responsiveness in addressing client queries.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ESMA reporting is beneficial; knowledge of European languages is preferred.
