GCM Client Development Officer

Overview:

Fantastic opportunity for a someone who has a background in Corporate Trust and/or Sales to join an established, dynamic Financial Services Company.   This is an unique opportunity for someone who is looking to move into a Front Facing/Sales role but requires transitional mentoring.  The successful candidate will build and develop their own book of business from researching to building prospects and securing deals.  This role will be working alongside market experts, enabling mentorship, product development/exposure and the tools to become a successful sales person.  Whether you are a seasoned sales person looking to transition into Global Capital Markets, or a SME in GCM/Corporate Trust but looking to break into sales, this is your opportunity to do so!

Responsibilities include:    

  • Depending on knowledge gap, learn and/or develop a complete understanding of the Corporate Trust related products and services.
  • Learn and understand the specifics of completing a needs analysis for current and potential Global Capital Markets clients and determining viable solutions based on those needs.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list for new clients and influencers to generate new business opportunities while promoting all trust services. Start to develop relationships with clients, influencers, and prospects.
  • Complete and maintain calling activity logs via CRM system as required to provide a record of activity.
  • Keeping current on market developments and trends in the industry.  Understanding market trends and recommend new product ideas as appropriate.
  • Accompany experienced sales personnel to gain a better understanding of the entire company sales process.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite, escalating any potential issues accordingly.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity, company ethos and overall brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Skills & experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant Corporate Trust and/or Sales role.
  • Desire to develop/progress in a front client facing/Sales role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience conducting and/or understanding individual needs analysis.
  • Self-motivated with a relationship centric ethos.
