Client Service/Relationship Manager, Escrow/Paying Agent

Overview:

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Payments/Escrow Client Service professional to join a growing team.  Being part of a non-banking financial institution who are going through growth, you will be an integral part of a team with responsibility for the ongoing management of a portfolio of M&A deals (Escrow/Paying Agency), dealing with shareholders, counsel and internal teams on a daily basis.  Our client is seeking someone with a background in liaising with clients, and the daily administration of a portfolio of M&A transactions.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing Escrow and Paying Agent related documents, liaising with internal and external counsel as appropriate.
  • Management of M&A related documents/templates.
  • Management of the lifecycle of the deals from signing/completion through to termination.
  • Administering and updating of internal systems / client portals (M&A transactions) as accordingly.
  • Managing relevant payments/processes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaising with various legal counsel and shareholders.
  • Dealing with both internal and external deal parties/shareholder queries.
  • Management of audits as required.
  • Ensuring the ongoing compliance of internal system records.
  • Portfolio account reconciliation to include checks and daily reconciliation reports (cash balances)
  • Bill and maintain a timely receipt of fees and follow up on Debtors as appropriate.

 

Skills/Experience

  • Experience/understanding of M&A/Paying Agent related deals.
  • Knowledge of Paying Agent and Escrow Agreements.
  • Knowledge of payments/FX process.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio and liaising with shareholders and internal/external counsel.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, and work well under pressure, in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and works well autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Hands on attitude with a strong work ethic.
