Female Graduates More Unlikely to Apply for Banking Jobs Than Men
Financial Institutions and banks aren’t exactly in shortage of good calibre candidates. However, there is one area in which they are lacking and that is the number of females applying for graduate positions. One investment bank’s HR stated that only 20% of their graduate applications are female.
Traditionally a male oriented industry, more and more banks and financial institutions are opening up their recruitment practices and are aware of the issue of creating equality in their institution. However, this does create a form of positive discrimination.
